Opened in 2011 and located on the site of the original Circle Club – a social club catering for Durban’s Jewish residents who were barred from other venues due to antisemitism – the café preserves this heritage in its name as it indeed comes full circle in embracing people from all walks of life. Today, Circle Café offers a space to sit and reflect after you have walked through the Holocaust and genocide exhibition as well as providing a beautiful setting for any special occasion!

Our beloved Circle Café is nestled in the Garden of Remembrance of the Durban Holocaust & Genocide Centre. Our doors are open to you for a catch up with a friend over cake, the celebration of an anniversary or simply a calm coffee break away from the office. Our menu is filled with homemade treats and traditional recipes passed down from generation to generation. Our jungle gym is there to keep your little ones entertained while you enjoy what many have claimed as the “best cheesecake in Durban!” For the coffee lovers out there, we serve Euro Caffé Roasted Coffee Beans which are a medium roast with a smooth and nutty taste.
