In recognition of World Refugee Day, the Durban Holocaust and Genocide Centre, as an educational project of the Centre, has brought together partner NGO’s who are working to support refugees. The DHGC, in collaboration with Zoe Life; Denis Hurley Centre; Tumaini Community Project; Refugee Pastoral Care; Nechemia Hope Africa; St Peter’s Catholic Church and various individuals and refugee leaders, have launched this video highlighting the global theme of this year’s World Refugee Day of “Together we Heal, Learn and Shine”. The video, which honours refugees living and working in greater Durban, explores ways of physical, psychological and spiritual healing; of learning from each other, and shining with best-case examples of social cohesion, art and sport.
