Covid-19 Refreshment Station

Following the nation-wide shutdown to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in South Africa, the premises of the DHGC has been utilised as a refreshment station for the SAPS, members of Metro Police and Denis Hurley Centre volunteers. These individuals are on the frontline of fighting this crisis in the city of Durban and we are delighted to be able to offer our space as a place of rest for a quick sandwich or cup of coffee for these individuals.

This has been a collaborative effort between the Durban Jewish Centre, The DHGC and generous sponsors, notably Sunshine Bakery. We are so grateful for the generous community response following our social media appeal which have funded the continual existence of the station.
