Genocide Awareness Month
The South African Holocaust and Genocide Foundation participated in a global program to commemorate Genocide Awareness Month.
This vigil included 24 one-hour sessions curated by inspiring people and institutions around the world, from Hong Kong to Johannesburg to Skokie and many places in between. Participants included survivors, experts, musicians, students, and educators talking about a variety of topics and contexts relevant to the fields of genocide, collective memory, museology, conflict resolution, dangerous/hate speech, morality and ethics, community development, education, and human rights.
